HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO GET A PIERCING?

If you are under 16 you must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, 16 or over you need to bring Photographic I.D.  We do have age restrictions on certain piercings, regardless of parental consent, contact us for further details.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes we work on an appointment basis for piercing and jewellery fitting, however with two studios on site we can often accommodate clients at short notice.  To check availability or book please contact the studio.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO HAVE THIER EARS PIERCED?

Yes, we love our younger clients but there are some things to be aware of.  We only pierce lobes age 8 and over.  We will only pierce your child if their lobes are suitable to support a healthy piercing and they are 100% confident and happy to have it done.  It is also important that they are aware that it will hurt a little bit but they are in full control and we are here to make their experience as happy and exciting as their first piercing should be.

 

DO YOU NUMB THE PIERCING?

No, any numbing agent carries a risk of skin irritation or allergic reaction. They also tighten the skin meaning any marks can shift  when the skin relaxes ending up with an incorrect placement.  There is also the possibility that it can get into the piercing channel and hinder the healing process.  We understand that you may be a little nervous and that piercings hurt, if only for a couple of seconds, but we are here to make the experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible and are very experienced with nervous clients.

WHAT JEWELLERY CAN I BE PIERCED WITH?

We stock jewellery from a range of suppliers including Neometal, Junipurr, Quali Ti, Inari, and Industrial Strenght.  All the jewellery we use for your initial piercing is sterilised by us first in an ultrasonic bath then autoclaved in a vacuum steam cleaner.  All our jewellery is ASTMF 136 implantgrade internally threaded or push fit titanium or 14 karat gold.  We can also anodise jewellery on site and custom order pieces for you so the possibilities rae endless.

WHAT CAN I GET PIERCED?

Please be aware that we are all wonderfully different and most piercings are anatomy dependent, so not suitable for everyone. We will only pierce you if the area is suitable to support a healthy piercing, there is always other options we can discuss with you.

CAN I BE PIERCED BEFORE I GO ON HOLIDAY?

Not straight before.  Your new piercing needs care and attention so make sure that you have at least a 4 week gap before going on holiday to give it a good start

WHAT IS DOWNSIZING?

Most piercings are pierced with a longer bar to allow for any swelling.  An important part of the healing process is swapping the bar for a shorter one after around 4-6 weeks.  This helps to prevent issues caused by wearing incorrect jewellery after any swelling has subsided.  It is important that this is done by a professional with the correct jewellery.  Your piercer will give you advice on this as it depends on the piercing.  It is important that you follow this advice and check with us before changing your initial jewellery.  Downsizing does incur a charge.

 

I'VE GOT A BUMP ON MY PIERCING.   WHAT DO I DO?

Don't panic!  We are here to help.  As bumps can be caused by a variety of factors it's important that we try to determine what the problem is before we advise you on how to fix it.  Due to this it's always best that you pop into the studio so as we can take a look at it for you.
